The One Ball Bag

A free pattern for Retwisst Chainy Cotton yarn cakes!

Start:

Cast on and ch43.

1st round: dc in 2nd ch from hook and dc to end, 3 dc in last ch.

Turn and dc along other side of beg chain,  (87st total)

Place stitch marker in last stitch.

2nd round: dc in each st to end of first side, 3dc in end stitch, dc in each stitch on other side, 3dc in last st (91 st)

3rd round: dc to end of first side, 3dc in last stitch, dc in each stitch on other side, 3dc in last stitch (95 st)

4th round: dc to end of first side, 3dc in last stitch, dc in each stitch on other side, 3dc in last stitch (99st)

Work a another 15 rounds, 1dc in each dc, with no further increases.

Next round:   (decreasing round) *dec 2, dc 9* to end (90st)

Work a further 20 rounds of dc, slip st into last st. Fasten off and secure ends.

Handles:

With remaining yarn, make 2 handles.

Make approx 100 ch and slip stitch back to the first ch. Fasten off and slip both ends through the bag, evenly spaced on either side of the bag and tie a knot at each end. Secure ends.
